Magnolia
The Magnolia area of Seattle is located just west of Queen Anne Hill and due south of Ballard. It has the distinction of being a “quiet little neighborhood” while being only minutes away from the lights and bustle of the communities that border it.
Accessible by three bridges, Magnolia has the feel of an island; it gives one the sensation of being “out of town”. The main business center is known as the “village”; providing the local residents with fine dining, cafes, supermarkets, a hardware store, well known specialty shops and professional services.
Magnolia is also home to Discovery Park; encompassing 534 acres it is Seattle's largest park. This park is home to eagles, herons, falcons, foxes, and beavers. Seven miles of trails provide visitors with a wilderness experience and serene views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.
The outer rim of this unique island like neighborhood is home to marine businesses and borders the Fisherman’s Terminal which hosts docks for the fishing industry.
Magnolia is a distinctive and autonomous community, but its proximity to Ballard, Queen Anne and Downtown offer quick passage to the more active areas of Seattle. Remote yet accessible, Magnolia affords it residents an in-city sanctuary without sacrificing convenience.
